The stock of coffee machines in the Europe is estimated to be around 100 million units and roughly 20 million coffee machines are sold every year, among fully automatic, portioned and semi-automatic machines.
According to recent research, more than half of European consumers own a portioned espresso machine, operated either with capsules or pads.
The choice of the type of machine is driven by diffeent factors, including design, price and capsules and pads availablity.
