For the 11 million children roaming the streets of India, childhood is marked by difficulty and strife.
Among them, girls are most at risk: they are often abandoned, abused, or working as child labourers with virtually no chance for a better future. Roamler is committed to help these girls find protection and construct their future, by offering them education, nutrition, love and a safe place to live.
The Rainbow Homes aims to rescue girls aged 4 to 18 and provide them with a home, care and education, in order to foster their social integration, self-esteem, and intellectual growth.
The Rainbow Homes makes use of existing schools, where the girls are housed and attend lessons together with girls from higher castes, learning from one another. Since its start in 2002, the project has rescued over 3.500 children.
Enabled by Net4Kids, a Dutch B2B charity platform active throughout the world, Roamler will donate the equivalent of 1% of all yearly fees earned by our Roamlers to The Rainbow Homes, empowering more and more Indian girls with the opportunity they deserve to build a better future for themselves.
